Easy Street Wheat Halibut

During the Summer most people who BBQ automatically think chicken and beef, but grilling a really meaty fish like Halibut is also a great idea.  This recipe comes from Odell Brewing Co. in Fort Collins, CO and uses their refreshing Easy Street Wheat in this marinade.

Ingredients:
Easy Street Wheat - 12 oz bottle
Halibut Steaks - 4
Soy Sauce - 1 cup
Vegetable Oil - 1/4 cup
White Onion - 1/4 cup Finely Chopped
Sugar - 2 Tbsp.
White Vinegar - 2 Tbsp.
Dry Mustard - 1 tsp.
Ground Ginger - 1/2 tsp.
Cinnamon - 1/2 tsp.
Limes - Juice of 2

Directions:
Marinate Halibut fish steaks for 2 or 3 hours.  Grill or Bake as desired.

If grilling fish for the first time the Hop & Kettle would suggest using tinfoil to ensure the fish will not flake and fall through the grilling grates.  If baking in an oven trying building a pouch with parchment paper to let the Halibut steam in some of the marinate.  We would like to extend a special thank you to Amanda Johnson from Odell Brewing Co. for providing us with this and several other recipes.
