IRON FISH

Brewery name: Iron Hill Brewery & Flying Fish Brewing Co.
ABV:  9.4%
IBUs:  ALOT
Availability:  Just released on Draft at Iron Hill in Maple Shade, NJ.  Could be VERY Limited.
Method (draft, can, bottle): Draft
Description:  This Collaboration Beer between Casey Hughes of Flying Fish and Chris LaPierre of Iron Hill pours an almost pitch black color from the tap.  The nose on this Imperial Black Belgian IPA has a huge citrus fruit and a spicy quality that lingers with you throughout the experience.  When you taste this beer you may expect something more malty, but instead the Hops are the star.  As it warms up closer to room tempature some of the roasted malts start to break through and you can even taste a bit of that spice of the Belgian yeast.  If you are a fan of Black IPAs or Belgian IPAs then we would suggest taking a trip to southern NJ for a taste.  This beer will only be served on tap at the Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant in Maple Shade, NJ and is going to be very limited.

If you missed the tapping  do not forget to check out the VIDEO on our site and if you want to know a bit more about the history behind this beer check out our INTERVIEW with Chris LaPierre.
