Young's Double Chocolate Stout

Brewery name: Wells & Young's Ltd
ABV:   5.2%
Availability:  Year Round

Method (draft, can, bottle): Bottle

Description:   Years ago when I was first converting my wife into a beer drinker, I sat her down with a bottle of Young’s Double Chocolate Stout.  Like many people who taste this Stout for the first time, she was shocked at how much she enjoyed this beer.  Pouring dark black in the glass you are bombarded by the well balanced aroma of a very rich milk chocolate, oats, and even a little brown sugar.  The taste follows it in a very similar fashion.  This stout is very smooth and very creamy with almost a dairy-like character.  It is not overly sweet, but you cannot mistake the fact that this beer is meant to be a Chocolate Stout. The flavor begins slightly bitter but quickly tailors off to a sweeter finish.  This stout can be drunk colder from the tap or right out of the fridge without losing any of its flavors.  Even those who might shy away from choosing a stout to drink will find this to their liking.
